If anything we know that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is going to have scale. Look at the Death Star looming over the planetary surface of Jedha (followed quickly by a brilliant shot of the space station blocking out the sun). That Star Destroyer that hangs in the atmosphere? Yeah, that’s wonderful. I actually had a sense of awe watching it rest in the sky.
After the Rogue One teaser gave us a taste of what a Star Wars stand-alone film could look like this second trailer goes more into the story in which a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star. It also gives us a glimpse of those heroes in brief individual scenes in case you needed another reason to be convinced that Donnie Yen is a badass. There’s also a rocket launcher and maybe some heavy mechanical breathing.
There’s a 97.6 % chance that I’m somehow more excited to see this movie.
His love of most things in entertainment can be summed up by having an English Bulldog named Spielberg and consistently asking if it’s Halloween yet.
