In which Adrien Brody is the train conductor for the H&M Lines Winter Express!
Wide camera angles, long single takes that move from compartment to compartment. The sound of slamming doors, interesting faces, and more all come together to celebrate Christmas, Wes Anderson style of course.
Due to weather conditions, Brody’s Conductor Ralph makes an impromptu Christmas party for the train passengers, all dressed in various H&M Christmas Collection outfits. The panning camera goes from passenger to passenger–one reading a vintage copy of Agatha Christie’s, Murder on the Orient Express as a not so subtle nod to the material–to the child, who clearly needs a sign to display in Anderson fashion that he’s an Unaccompanied Minor(s), both tell of stories that take place on Christmas.
And what exactly is a Wes Anderson film without a supply list? Scissors, construction paper, aluminum foil, an extension cord, and what I assume can only be a Christmas tree. That’s all Conductor Ralph needs to assemble a Christmas these passengers won’t forget. I know I won’t.

His love of most things in entertainment can be summed up by having an English Bulldog named Spielberg and consistently asking if it’s Halloween yet.
