This Wednesday, October 5, cafes all over the U.S. will temporarily transform into Luke’s Diner to celebrate the release of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. These pop-up diners are one of several viral marketing tactics to get fans hyped about the four part Rory and Lorelai event that hits Netflix this November. The 16th anniversary of the show’s first episode is October 5, the perfect day to bring to life the small town charm we’ve come to love about the show. Over 200 coffee shops and cafes will participate, handing out free 12 oz. coffees and other surprises to the first 200 guests. Make sure you get there early. Each pop-up Luke’s Diner will only be open from 7 a.m. to noon.
