The sequel to Blade Runner has an official title.

Blade Runner is a science fiction classic. I don’t really care for it.

I’ve given it a few tries, but every time it just sort of leaves me cold. Is it good? I think so, but I certainly would never pick it as a movie to watch out of a group. So when you tell me that the sequel will be called Blade Runner 2049 I’m going to be like, “That’s cool.”

What I am excited about for the sequel is, well, everything.

The cast: Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Lennie James, Mackenzie DavisDave Bautista (!), and my current crush Ana de Armas from Knock Knock. That’s a stellar cast.

The director Denis Villeneuve who gave us Prisoners, Sicario, and the upcoming and highly anticipated Arrival is at the helm. Consequently, so is legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins.

I am so in.

For those die hard Blade Runner fans we also have Ridley Scott producing and original Blade Runner writer Hampton Fancher returning as well.

Along with the official title we also got a picture of these sweet dudes.

Blade Runner 2049 is currently filming in Budapest.
